Why would you need to see a Clinical Nutritionist? 
A Clinical Nutritionist receives referrals for a variety of reasons. This referral can be from a G.P. or Hospital Consultant or directly from the person who would like to be seen. The following are a list of medical conditions that often necessitate being seen by a Dietitian. Dietary advice can play a very valuable role in the care & treatment of certain medical conditions.

Hyperlipidaemia & Heart Health
Sports Nutrition

Coeliac Disease
Low Body Weight
Malnutrition

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) - including FODMAP diet

Diverticular Disease, etc.

Enteral (tube) feeding

What's involved when seeing a Dietitian? 
A New Appointment will take approx. 1 hour. I will do a Nutritional Assessment, Dietary Assessment, Discuss your Meal Plan with you and then go through your Eating Plan, which is individualized to suit you.  Any review appointments usually last for 20-30mins. Patients are seen on an individual basis, i.e.: not in a group setting.

Fees

New appointments (1 hour) cost €100. Review appointments (30mins) cost €40-50. All fees may be claimed back from your Health Insurance company as part of your Out-Patient expenses.
